This starter privacy policy explains the types of information TendFolk handles and should be reviewed by qualified counsel before production use.
1. Information We Collect
- Account information, such as name, email address, login credentials, and invitations.
- Care circle information, such as care recipient details, family access, care team members, tasks, appointments, medications, symptoms, care shifts, and notes.
- Uploaded documents and images, including document metadata and extracted text or summaries when available.
- Device and notification information, such as device tokens and notification preferences.
- Usage and technical information needed to operate, secure, and improve the service.
2. How We Use Information
- To provide and synchronize care coordination features.
- To generate summaries, document explanations, care reminders, and family updates.
- To manage invitations, roles, access, notifications, and audit records.
- To maintain security, troubleshoot issues, and improve reliability.
3. AI and Service Providers
TendFolk may send relevant care context, uploaded document text, or user prompts to AI and infrastructure providers to generate requested summaries or operate the service. Providers should be configured under appropriate data protection terms for the deployment.
4. Sharing Within a Care Circle
Information in a care circle may be visible to authorized users based on their role. Be careful when inviting family members, caregivers, or other collaborators.
5. Retention and Deletion
TendFolk keeps information as needed to provide the service, maintain records, and comply with legal or operational requirements. Deleting a care recipient or item may remove it from active views, though backups or audit records may remain for a limited period.
6. Security
TendFolk is designed to use access controls and secure storage practices, but no system is perfectly secure. Use strong passwords, protect your devices, and share access only with trusted people.
7. Children and Sensitive Information
TendFolk is intended for adult caregivers. Do not use TendFolk to collect information from children. Care information may be sensitive, so only add what is necessary for coordination.
